Hello there! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
We had a great weekend and finished it off last night with a new idea I had seen on The Dating Diva’s blog.
Now that we have the love nugget, we’ve found that it is much harder to get to stay connected to each other. I am constantly trying to come up with fun at home date night ideas since we don’t have a local sitter yet. Along with the weekly at home date night, we also make an effort to sit down to dinner at the dinner table pretty much every night. Although sometimes we are so drained that we barely say much more than the usual, “how was your day? What did you do?” I saw this idea for topic starters and thought it would be a great way for us to revamp our dinner time conversations. If you follow the link for their blog, it should take you to the page that has a free printout with a ton of questions. I printed out the pages and cut them all out into strips.
Then, I took an old box that I had lying around and covered it with wrapping paper then spruced it up a little using some scrapbook paper and my Cricut.
I dumped in all the strips of paper and then at dinner we each took turns pulling out a strip and asking the question.
Here are our questions from last night
This was a fun and easy way to spark some different conversation that we normally have or don’t have at the dinner table. We were at the table for quite some time but as you can see only pulled out three strips because each question brought on some great conversations. We will definitely be doing this during dinner time more often!
This morning after breakfast, we headed to Stroller Strides then went to Old Navy and The Rack for a little love nugget shopping. Lot’s of cute Spring clothes out there! Now if only Spring would only stick around for more than a day! Although I’m enjoying being lazy this afternoon since it’s so cold out and unmotivating.
Have a great Monday!
